Employee Spotlight: Meet Nathalie

Nathalie had known St. Paul since she was young, so when she heard that the company was growing rapidly, her curiosity was piqued. During her search for a role where her social skills and determination could truly shine, the Junior Sales Manager position immediately stood out.

“I wanted a role where I could have a lot of contact with people, visit clients, and at the same time shape my own identity as a sales manager,” she explains. “And in the dairy industry – because the product is tangible and you can really see the impact of your work.”

The first week: a warm welcome

From the very beginning, Nathalie felt right at home. “It was amazing to be welcomed so warmly. Everyone was genuinely interested in who I am and what I bring to the table. Of course, a lot of information came at me — the dairy world is a whole universe — but the team made it all manageable.”

What surprised her the most? “How dynamic the company is and how fully our team commits. Everyone knows what St. Paul stands for, and you feel that immediately in the way we work together.”

The role: connecting, exploring, and growing

As a Junior Sales Manager, Nathalie supports the sales team in many ways. A typical day? “I answer questions from clients and colleagues, prepare quotes, visit clients together with my fellow sales managers, and conduct research on the dairy market. No day is the same, and that’s exactly what makes it so enjoyable.”

What she values most is being able to actively contribute to the company’s growth. “Sales is such an important part of our development. Finding new clients, supporting existing ones, and building strong collaborations together — that’s what truly energizes me.”

The moment she thought this is what I’m here for came during a presentation about St. Paul’s growth and renovation. “I really thought, ‘Yes! This is what I want to be part of. I want to help maximize our production capacity and be part of this amazing story.’”

A collaboration that feels like winning

Within the sales team, Nathalie feels completely at home. “We support each other, work hard, and make sure everything runs smoothly. Everyone gets the chance to participate in exciting projects, and everyone genuinely cares about St. Paul. That’s what makes our team so great.”

Her three fellow sales managers are completely different, which she sees as an advantage. “It’s so educational to learn from their different styles. They involve me in everything, help me with questions, and let me experience direct customer contact. That way, I learn something new every single day.”

From hospitality to sales

Before joining St. Paul, Nathalie worked at the Strandhotel in Cadzand-Bad and studied Hospitality Management in Breda. It was there that she discovered she enjoys selling, but hospitality wasn’t quite the right fit for her. Now, alongside her work, she is pursuing a part-time Business Administration degree to further develop herself.

Did you know…?

  • Nathalie describes herself as social, helpful, and a true go-getter.

  • If she were a type of cheese, she’d be Brie: soft on the outside, with a bold core.

  • She prefers tea over coffee – team tea all the way!

  • Her wildest cheese combination ever is burrata with strawberries and balsamic cream (yes, it works!).

  • The nicest compliment she’s ever received is: “That she fits perfectly within the St. Paul team.”

With her enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and customer-focused mindset, Nathalie is a valuable asset to the sales team. Every day, she brings fresh energy, makes a difference for clients and colleagues, and contributes to the growth of St. Paul.
