Do you get energy from solving technical faults and working on a wide variety of machines? As an All-round Maintenance Technician at St. Paul, you will work in a varied and challenging production environment where technology is at the heart of everything we do and no two days are the same!

What you'll earn

Your salary falls within scale D or E under the CAO Particulier Kaaspakhuisbedrijf (Collective Labour Agreement for the Private Cheese Warehouse Industry). Your exact placement within this scale is determined based on your knowledge and experience.

About the vacancy

As an All-round Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our production, packaging and building-related installations. Thanks to your technical expertise and proactive approach, you help keep our production process running safely and efficiently. With a brand-new Technical Department workspace, a modern maintenance management system and a highly diverse range of machinery, you have everything you need to do your job effectively.

For example, one morning you might be troubleshooting a malfunction during the start-up of a production line, before moving on to scheduled maintenance tasks in Ultimo. On another day, you could be carrying out a complete overhaul, a minor repair, a modification or welding work. The variety is not only in the type of work you do, but also in the machines you work on. These include unpacking machines, melting machines and packaging machines.

You also actively contribute ideas for technical improvements. If a machine repeatedly breaks down at the same point, for example, you investigate the root cause and work together with your colleagues to find a solution that reduces downtime. In other words, there is plenty of room for you to take initiative.

What will you be doing?

  • You carry out preventive maintenance;
  • You identify, analyse and resolve technical faults;
  • You repair, overhaul and modify machinery;
  • You inspect installations and assess their technical condition;
  • You contribute ideas for technical improvements and optimisations;
  • You support work preparation and spare parts management;
  • You work closely with fellow maintenance technicians, operators and external maintenance partners;
  • You record your work in Ultimo.

What do we expect from you?

Mechanical knowledge is essential for this role. Knowledge of electrical engineering is considered an advantage.

In addition:

  • You have a technical vocational qualification (MBO level) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics;
  • You have experience working as a maintenance technician in a machinery environment, preferably within a production setting;
  • You are able to independently analyse and resolve technical faults;
  • You work well with others when dealing with more complex faults and technical issues;
  • You enjoy practical, hands-on technical work;
  • You work accurately and with a strong focus on safety;
  • You are fluent in Dutch.

Bonus points if you love cheese! 🧀

What do we offer?

  • A challenging and varied role within a healthy family business.
  • A market-conform salary in accordance with the CAO Particulier Kaaspakhuis, depending on age and experience.
  • Good secondary employment benefits, including:
    • 25 days of paid leave
    • Pension accrual
    • Travel expense reimbursement
    • Holiday allowance
    • Room for personal development and professionalization
    • An informal and collegial working atmosphere
    • Fun company activities, such as a summer barbecue, Christmas party, and company outings
    • Short lines of communication, plenty of collaboration, and a no-nonsense mentality
